History
Holland was named after Lord Holland,
father of Charles James Fox. In the
mid-1800s there was some textile
manufacturing, but agriculture resumed its
importance for the town in the last half of
the 19th Century. Holland is a rural
and residential community. The scenic
beauty of its rolling, wooded hills, and its
waterways attract many visitors.
